The Watch Party invites in all Harvardians and Yalies to celebrate the tradition of THE GAME for the 138th time!
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The 138th playing of The Game between Harvard and Yale is set for a noon ET start on ESPNU on Saturday, Nov. 19. This year's edition will take place at historic Harvard Stadium and will mark the first time the rivalry game has been played in Cambridge since 2016.
The Crimson will enter the regular-season finale looking to win its second straight game vs. the Bulldogs after it won in thrilling fashion a year ago, 34-31, in New Haven, Connecticut. The last time The Game took place in the Commonwealth was in 2018, which saw Harvard defeat Yale, 45-27, at Fenway Park.
Harvard is coming off a 28-13 road win over Dartmouth this past Saturday to improve to 5-2 overall and 3-1 in the Ivy League. The Crimson returns home this weekend to play host to Columbia at 1 p.m. ET. Yale, meanwhile, is also 5-2 overall and 3-1 in the Ivy after it downed Columbia last week on the road, 41-16.
The Harvard-Yale series is the third most played rivalry in collegiate football history, including 137 games since 1875. In the series, Yale has 68 wins, Harvard has 61 wins, and the teams have tied eight times. Only two collegiate rivalries have played more often than Harvard-Yale.
The winner gets the Wishbone Trophy and the loser buys the cookies for next year!
