Please join us for a conversation with Gabe Davis ('07)! Gabe is the Executive Director of the Citizen Complaint Authority (CCA) for the City of Cincinnati. There he leads a team of investigators and other staff in investigating officer-involved shootings, deaths in police custody, and allegations of police misconduct.

Before joining CCA, Gabe served as a prosecutor for seven years, including as a federal prosecutor in the Civil Rights Division at the U.S. Department of Justice based in Washington, D.C. At the Justice Department, Gabe specialized in investigating and prosecuting hate crimes and law enforcement misconduct cases across the country, including in Ohio, Alabama, Puerto Rico. After leaving the Justice Department and moving back to Cincinnati, Gabe joined Cincinnati law firm Frost Brown Todd as a commercial litigator and defense attorney. Gabe left the firm in 2020 to become CCA’s Director. Early in his career, Gabe served as an Assistant District Attorney at the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office, handing domestic violence cases, fraud cases, and other misdemeanor and felony offenses.

Gabe graduated from Yale College in 2007, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science. Gabe also graduated from Harvard Law School in 2011, earning a Juris Doctor degree. A native of Cincinnati, Gabe attended Cincinnati Public Schools and the Seven Hills School.

Gabe is a proud husband and father to two daughters. He is also the son of a retired Cincinnati Police Officer and a Head Start Manager. Gabe’s family served abroad as missionaries during his childhood. He is an active member of several local civic organizations in Cincinnati, and serves on the boards of multiple non-profits, including the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, Cincinnati Bar Association, Planned Parenthood Southwest Ohio, and Cincinnati Yale Club.
