West Chester - Jay Donald Richter, 68, died on February 4, 2022 of natural causes at home in West Chester, Ohio.
He is survived by his siblings, Craig M. of Columbus, Ohio; Bruce A. of Tyler, Texas and Janet V. (Michael) Boyer of Kewadin, Michigan; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Margaret V. (nee Danielson) and Donald E. Richter of Columbus, Ohio.
Jay was born on September 26, 1953 in Marietta, Ohio. He graduated from Upper Arlington High School in 1972, where he ran track and played football. While attending Harvard University, he played football and rugby, graduating in 1976 with a degree in Business.
After working in business for several years, Jay earned an MBA from Rollins College, Winter Park, Florida. Upon returning to Ohio, he was an affiliate in a financial planning firm for many years.
Interment will be private.
A Memorial Service will be held at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 2001 Northwest Boulevard, Columbus, Ohio 43212 on Thursday, August 25, 2022 at 11 am.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions in Jay's memory to Holy Trinity Lutheran Church.
