Greater Cincinnati Ivy-Seven Sisters Collegial Collegiate Alumnae In-person Quarterly Women’s Event

Featuring: Ivy League Women in Local Politics & Civic Engagement

This In-person, Outdoor* Quarterly Women’s Event features two women, Jane Anderson from Wellesley College and Marcy Taylor from Harvard-Radcliffe. Jane is an Adjunct Associate Professor of Political Science at the University of Cincinnati and on the Executive Committee of the Ohio Democratic Party. Marcy served on the Board of Supervisors of the Clermont County Soil and Water Conservation District and is actively involved with organizations supporting voters’ rights. Jane and Marcy will discuss and compare their experiences over the decades that women have sought and held elected office and engaged in local and national politics.

Join us on Wednesday, May 19, 2021, 6-8 pm at the 50 West Burger Bar, 7605 Wooster Pike, Cincinnati (Mariemont) for this first in-person, outdoor gathering in well over a year and hear two local women’s experiences running for and holding state and local political office, lessons learned, observations as to what it takes to win today, recent experiences with civic engagements, followed by Q&A/open discussion, and socializing. We will provide a drink ticket. You’ll be on your own for food,  

* We will sit outside in 50 West’s Beer Garden / outdoor area that has tented areas (30’x60’ tent) as well as open tables with umbrellas. 50 West Burger Bar’s COVID-19 rules and restrictions require masks to enter and move about the premises. Even if you are fully vaccinated, we encourage you to wear a mask at all times except when speaking, eating and drinking and, comply with any other Ohio recommendations then in effect.
