Ride Start Location: Parking lot adjacent to Little Miami Scenic Trail in Camp Dennison. Off Rt. 126/Glendale-Milford Rd. at Galbraith (Kugler Mill) Rd.
Distance: Approx. 15 Miles Round Trip
Time: Meet at 9 am. About 60-75 minutes out, 60 minutes in town, 60-75 minutes back.
For some summer fun, exercise and camaradarie, we are planning several easy, family-friendly rides along the Little Miami Trail. We'll hit the trail in the morning to get ahead of summer crowds and heat, then head out to either Loveland or Newtown for a snack and conversation. When we are ready, we'll saddle up and cycle back.
Note: Our route and distance are flexible based on a consensus among those joining the ride.
Ride Report:
It was a beautiful day for the inaugural Ivy Ride. Perfect temperatures, and a sunny-but-comfortable morning made for pleasant cycling conditions. As we left the Kugler Mill parking area, Marcy, Gary, Rob, and I made for quite the group as we combined a tandem, a cruiser, and a carbon fiber road bicycle! After a lovely ride up the trail, we stopped at Mile 42 coffee for a wonderful chat in their outdoor seating area, before making the return trip back down. Gary and Marcy took the final stretch at 'race pace' to cap off a lovely morning. Total mileage was right at 15 miles, and we look forward to another ride in July!
