echelman-artPracticing Mindfulness with Tai Chi

Saturday, March 11, 11 am- 1pm
In person. Free event.

Tai chi, short for Tai chi ch'üan, sometimes called "shadowboxing", is a Chinese martial art practiced for defense training, health benefits and meditation. It is a series of gentle physical exercises and stretches. Each posture flows into the next without pause, ensuring that your body is in constant motion. Tai chi is sometimes described as "meditation in motion" because it promotes serenity through gentle movements — connecting the mind and body.

We invite you to join your Harvard friends for a lesson in Tai chi as part of our focus on mindfulness this year.
Our leader will be long-time practioner Uri Sella, husband of Board member Gillian Benet Sella.  Light food, drinks and socializing are included.

We will be meeting in a serene private space in HCC President Gupta's home in the general area of Montgomery.
