Greater Cincinnati Ivy-Seven Sisters Collegial Collegiate Alumnae Quarterly Women’s Event

Tuesday, September 13, 2022, 5:30-7:30 pm

Organized by women of the Harvard Club of Cincinnati

Featuring: Jennifer Morales '99, co-founder of Mixicles

Program has reached capacity. Registration is now closed.

A lawyer turned entrepreneur, as well as mother of twins, Jennifer Morales (Harvard College '99)  will share with us her journey of creating a business from scratch in Cincinnati.  Jen and her friend and former law partner, Jason Stitt, shared a love of craft cocktails but didn't like the time and expense associated with sourcing all the ingredients and preparing the drinks from scratch. They were also frustrated by the artificial, overly sweet taste and short shelf-life of most commercially produced mixers. So, Jen and Jason developed Mixicles®, premium cocktail mixers in ice-cube form that can be combined with any spirit, wine, or champagne for instant, elegantly simple and consistent cocktails or mocktails.

Along with sharing her path from lawyer to product inventor and business creator, Jen will bring along her Mixicles cubes.  She will show us how to make our own cocktails flawlessly, and then we get to taste!  We are being hosted by Gillian Benet Sella at a cute 1930s Tudor Revival cottage in the Clifton area that she is updating for her parents. Thank you to Gillian and her parents, Carol and Leslie Benet, for opening their space to us!

Weather permitting, we will enjoy the evening on the private deck overlooking Rawson Woods in Clifton, with time to socialize with each other, hear Jen talk about her journey, and try out some Mixicles.  Light bites included.
The address will be provided to registrants via email. The neighbors ask that you please park close to Rawson Woods to avoid blocking driveways.

Mixicles came to life at Findlay Kitchen, a non-profit food business incubator, located in the heart of the historic Findlay Market district. Findlay Kitchen supports food entrepreneurs looking to start, grow and scale their business, by providing affordable access to 11 licensed commercial kitchens, commercial-grade kitchen equipment, and ample storage space.

Findlay Kitchen is a mission-driven organization that places special emphasis on cultivating women, immigrant, and minority-owned businesses, which currently comprise 80% of our member community. It is important to Findlay Kitchen, and Findlay Market, that we continue to play a positive role in growing a dynamic and inclusive entrepreneurial ecosystem that is truly representative of our changing community. By partnering with like-minded organizations and donors, we are able to lower barriers to entry and provide scholarships and business-building growth opportunities.
