HC Northeast Ohio Fall Dinner

Cleveland Skating Club in Shaker Heights
November 4, 2021

The Harvard Club of Northeast Ohio invites the HC Cincinnati to its annual Fall Dinner on November 4, 2021, with their own Earl Leiken ’64, LLB ’67 (accompanied by Joyce Braverman and Jon Ratner) speaking on “The Van Aken District: The Story of a Regional Development Success.”

From Jim Marino, HC NEOH president:  "We’re excited about returning to this Club tradition in person. But we ask that all members and guests be careful of each other’s safety during the continuing pandemic. We would respectfully ask for proof of vaccination or a recent negative Covid text (taken within 48 hours of the event)."

The Cleveland Skating Club requires all unvaccinated guests to wear masks inside its building. We would request that vaccinated guests also help fight the spread of the disease by wearing masks except when actually eating or drinking.

Earl Leiken was the Mayor of Shaker Heights from 2008 to 2018 and is currently Senior Fellow at Cleveland State’s Levin College of Urban Affairs. Joyce Braverman is Director of Planning for the City of Shaker Heights. Jon Ratner is Principal of the real estate developer RMS. Together they will present an overview of the challenges for community development across our region and provide a concrete example of how those challenges can be overcome.
