With Professor Cobin Covault, Dept. of Physics, Case Western Reserve University
Zoom Sunday, August 9 @ 7 pm
Registration requested. See highlight below.

The Harvard Club of Northeast Ohio is pleased to host Professor Corbin Covault (Harvard PhD '91, M.I.T.  B.A. '85), co-chair, Department of Physics, CWRU, for expert tips on how to watch this year’s Perseid showers.  The peak viewing dates are August 11-13—the perfect activity for a socially-distanced evening!

Prof. Covault will offer us an introduction to the Perseids via the Zoom video-chat platform at 7pm, this Sunday, August 9.  The Zoom link and password are attached below. Your questions will be collected by our moderator using Zoom’s chat function.

This online event is offered free for all HCC members. Please register by e-mailing Jim Marino at jamesjmarino@yahoo.com or by filling out this form.

Time permitting, questions might also explore Prof. Covault’s research areas in Ultra-high energy cosmic rays, dark matter, or search for extraterrestrial life.
