Yale Invites Harvard to Their GLobal Day of Service

Launched in 2009, on the global Yale Day of Service, the second Saturday in May, alumni and their families and friends work to improve communities and share time and talents to make a difference. NAMIWalks is NAMI’s largest mental health awareness and fundraising event in the country.  NAMI, the National Alliance on Mental Illness, is the nation’s largest grassroots mental health organization dedicated to building better lives for the millions of Americans affected by mental illness. Yale Day of Service participants will be volunteers for the Southwest Ohio Region NAMIWalks, which takes place at Sawyer Point Park, 705 East Pete Rose Way, Cincinnati. The start time for the 5k is 10:00 am. Check-in begins at 9:00 am, but volunteers start at 8:00 am to help out with the Kids Zone.  Volunteers are  asked to stay after the event to assist with clean-up, if possible.

The Cincinnati Yale Club Family & Friends team also will walk the 5k together. Yale Club members and friends are welcome to participate in any part of the event (set-up, walk and/or clean-up)
