HCC Fall Luncheon with Neil Bortz, '54, '60

"Mount Adams: An Urban Island—Fifty-Two Years from the Blind Lemon”

Mount Adams: An Urban Island—Fifty-Two Years from the Blind Lemon”

The Harvard Club of Cincinnati is pleased to welcome Neil Bortz, Harvard College '54, Harvard Business School ‘60, and current partner in Towne Properties, to lead our 2015 fall luncheon.

On Wednesday, October 14, 2015, Mr. Bortz will introduce us to his recent book with J. Miles Wolf, Mount Adams: An Urban Island. This vibrant community and distinctive Cincinnati place is the seminal example of many that he enjoys and makes collaboratively, and which benefit from his learning experiences before and after Harvard. How he connects commercial and residential development—with natural and manmade assets, human relationships and public policy—is illustrated in Mount Adams. The inspiration within his book reflects what moves this proud alum, beyond all his awards, boards, and leadership in economic development, education, arts, parks, faith, justice, and community capacity building. Mr. Bortz will speak for about twenty minutes, to allow ample time for questions and conversation.

Check-in will open at 11:30 am.  Lunch will be served at noon. The University Club will provide their Southwest salad with grilled chicken, mixed greens, tossed in homemade tomato chipotle vinaigrette with bell pepper, black bean, and  corn salsa, and avocado and a lime wedge; assorted cookies; water, iced tea, coffee. Parking is available at meters on 4th Street and Broadway. Enclosed parking is also located at the 303 Garage. If you have dietary restrictions or questions, please call Couper Gardiner at (513) 310-3098.
