Riverside Stroll

Along the riverfronts and over the bridges

Less than 3 miles, mostly flat
 

Marcy Taylor and Gary Heaton, '84s, will lead a loop walk from the Roebling murals on the Covington flood wall, past the Aquarium, over the Purple People Bridge, across the Serpentine Wall and Smale riverfront park and back over the Roebling Suspension Bridge.  The goal is to enjoy the sites and company while getting a little exercise. We can stop in along the way for ice cream or adult beverages. Open to anyone who wants to join us. Families welcome.
 

If there is interest, Marcy & Gary will add other types of hikes and outdoor activities throughout the summer and fall.

About The Roebling Murals at the Covington Waterfront: These are a series of 18 panels depicting the history of Covington from 800 BC to the present day, painted on the flood wall along the Ohio River and visible from the Roebling Bridge. The murals were painted by Lafayette, LA-based artist Robert Dafford, working with a team of assistants.

The documents below provides detailed descriptions of each panel as well as information about the artist and the history of the project.
